Daniel Kern, Ph.D.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Daniel Kern is a licensed clinical psychologist with specialized training in neuropsychological assessment. He received his doctorate degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science where he conducted research in the structure of executive functioning, efficacy of neurorehabilitation, and mechanisms of change in behavioral activation for depression. Dr. Kern completed his internship training at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center where he developed and implemented a new multidisciplinary neuropsychology clinic for individuals with HIV, AIDS, and other infectious diseases. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, where he managed the inpatient consultation-liaison neuropsychology service at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.    


Dr. Kern is currently licensed in Illinois and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He is a professional member of the American Psychological Association (APA), Illinois Psychological Association (IPA), and the International Neuropsychological Society (INS).

Dr. Kern specializes in the neuropsychological evaluation of adults who present with a wide variety of comorbid psychiatric and neurobehavioral syndromes. His special interests include age-related cognitive decline, ADHD assessment, and capacity evaluations.
